2017 Open Exhibitions
11th Bi-Annual Found Art Competition

Sept 8th - Oct 28th

This competition is open to everyone.  A fee of $10 per submission will give artists an opportunity to compete for prizes.

A found object is an already existing object that is incorporated in to the art making process. Some examples of found objects are natural finds such as bark, stones, and driftwood, or recycled objects such as cloth, plastic, or metal.  Found Art includes found object(s).  For example, painting an unrelated image on a saw blade would not qualify. However, using the saw blade as a bird’s beak in a larger piece and painting it accordingly would qualify.  The found object ends up having a larger meaning than its original use.  This exhibition is not juried.  Pieces will only be disqualified if they are not found art.

Submission Deadline: Tuesday Sept 5th
The Combermere Craft Cabin
