Railroaders’ Tour of Barry’s Bay

Friday August 11th   2:00 p.m.

The excitement of steam transport arrived at the frontier outpost of Barry’s Bay in 1894. For nearly 90 years, the Railway connected the Madawaska Valley to the world beyond. Let local rail enthusiast “conductors” take you on a 1-hour walking tour of our railway heritage sites. Relive the romance of rail as their tales unfold. Bring your railroading essentials: walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, umbrella – and a taste for adventure!
